So the SSD is made by Western Digital (as mentioned on the box and even on CrystalDiskInfo). The SSD comes with a 5 inch type C to type C cable, and a type C to USB adapter. I have also attached CrystalDiskMark results on the brand new SSD and the speeds were great. I connected via type C to the Type C on my laptop. I guess since the SSD is connected via USB C and not PCIe, the speeds are limited, since NVMe on PCIe can go way faster (3.5GB/s to 7GB/s). However, I am glad with this product. Time will tell how it holds up.
